Socket fan care and troubleshooting
Updated September 28, 2026
Cleaning
Turn it off and let the blades stop completely. Wipe the blades with a damp cloth; a little mild soap helps with built-up dust. Don’t spray liquid onto the fan, and don’t bend the blade brackets.
Nothing happens when I use the remote
- Check the wall switch is on.
- If it’s a new remote, make sure the plastic battery tab has been pulled out.
- Replace the CR2025 battery.
- Check the fan is screwed in securely.
The fan wobbles or makes a noise
Make sure every blade is properly inserted, with its arrow pointing toward the socket. Each one locks into place with a click. Turn the fan off, let it stop, then push each blade in until it clicks.
The light flickers
Check the fan is screwed in securely, and that the light isn’t on a dimmer switch. The socket fan needs a regular on/off switch.
It started on different settings
If you pressed All OFF before turning it off at the wall, it resets to its default settings. Set it up again from the remote.
Can I replace the LEDs?
No. The LEDs are built in and last a long time, but they can’t be replaced.
If the fan has been dropped or damaged, or isn’t working right, stop using it and contact us.
